The Credit Risk Analysis Division plays a key role in the enablement of an effective decision-making process across the Bank and the Group. The operational tasks of the aforementioned Division include but are not limited to the below-mentioned activities:

Responsibilities

Preparation and delivery of Credit Risk external and regulatory reporting, monitoring of the targets related to the NPE stock reduction, assessment and reporting of the Portfolio Asset Quality- and Credit Risk-related KPIs, execution of Project Management activities related to the BCBS-239 credit risk reporting initiatives across the Bank as well as analysis of the new regulatory requirements and consultation papers with regards to Credit Risk- and Asset Quality-related definitions and metrics.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Credit Risk Reporting Analyst – Reference code: CRA1117

  • Manages the plan for the completion of the tasks regarding credit risk reporting in order to ensure the timely production of internal and regulatory reports
  • Submits the Group’s credit risk aggregate data to the competent Divisions of the Bank for their inclusion in the relevant regulatory reports (FINREP, BoG Executive Committee Acts, etc.)
  • Provides aggregate data on the Group’s credit risk to the competent Divisions of the Bank, for their inclusion in the Financial Statements and for their release to analysts and investors
  • Carries out the retrospective assessment of the achieved targets for Non-Performing Exposures against the forecasted targets included in the Bank’s Business Plan and prepares aggregate reports with the key figures and performance indicators defined by the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM)
  • Monitors and analyses the Retail Banking and Wholesale Banking critical credit risk indicators, such as the NPL/NPE flows, cure and re-default rates
  • Identifies critical points across the credit risk reporting generation process and develops appropriate prevention and control mechanisms

2. Credit Risk Reporting Framework Analyst – Reference code: CRFA1117

  • Participates in the development of the credit risk analysis and reporting framework at both Bank and Group level
  • Examines the consultation documents for the definitions in force with regard to key credit risk metrics and compliance with the pertinent Authorities’ regulations
  • Reports and analyses the regulatory framework requirements through thorough examination of the effective ECB Directives and Regulations
  • Engages in the implementation of certain regulations of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (namely BCBS 239), aiming to ensure full compliance for the Group’s Reporting activities
  • Determines the specifications required for the technical infrastructures used in the credit risk analysis and reporting tasks, on the basis of the provisions of the regulatory and institutional framework in force
  • Acts as solid credit risk reporting stakeholder in order to ensure cohesiveness and compliance both systemwise and businesswise

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Operational Research, or other related discipline)
  • A postgraduate degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Mathematics or Operational Research
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience at a banking institution or an audit/consulting company along with strong understanding of the regulatory framework (EBA/ECB guidelines, BoG/SSM mandates)
  • Vast knowledge of data mining techniques using SAS, SPSS or SQL
  • Very good Project Management skills along with strong business acumen and the ability to comprehend the business and operational impact of Risk Management decisions
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a goal-oriented approach
  • Proficient user of the MS Office suite and VBA
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken)
  • An adaptive and flexible personality possessing great communication and presentation skills
