Company Description
MYTILINEOS, one of Greece’s leading industrial companies with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, EPC, Electric Power and Gas Trading, is currently seeking to hire an Internal Auditor who will mainly assist in the audit of the EPC Business Unit’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.
Responsibilities
The Internal Auditor reports to the Head of Internal Audit and is responsible for:
- Applying the internal audit strategy, developing policies and procedures as well as coordinating and implementing audit projects for the Company and its subsidiaries
- Performing internal audits while ensuring the adequacy of the internal audit system and evaluating the degree of compliance with the Company’s processes
- Submitting reports that contain solid suggestions for the improvement of risk management policies, the internal audit system, cost savings and the processes of corporate governance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Finance
- Postgraduate Degree with specialization in Internal Audit or a related discipline is highly desirable
- 10 years’ experience in an audit firm or as internal auditor in construction/heavy industry
- Diversified experience other than audit (in Finance/Procurement/Risk Management/Project Management etc) will be considered an asset
- Ability to travel (60% of the time) mainly in the Middle East and Africa
- Professional qualification (CIA, CISA, ACCA) is desirable
- Working knowledge of IFRS, SAP and MS office
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of French or German will be considered an asset
- In depth knowledge of the law, rules and practices of corporate governance
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Strong sense of confidentiality
- Attention to detail
