GNS, a prominent international group of companies operating in navigational products and services, the world leader in its field, with offices in different parts of the world, wishes to appoint a Mariner Product Specialist.
Reponsibilities
The incumbent will be based in the group’s European HQ in Athens and serve local and international shipping. His/Her main tasks will include in depth technical knowledge and know-how of all company’s products and services, examining and monitoring the technical aspects of competitors’ products, monitoring new regulations regarding navigation and their implications on shipping, visiting shipping companies, presenting along with sales the group’s proposal, training mariners on digital navigation software, assisting customers and own staff on issues regarding navigation and presenting the group products in workshops.
Qualifications
The incumbent should have at least three years experience at sea as a bridge officer on vessels sailing worldwide, a minimum of two years experience in using different navigational software and equipment and in navigating digitally, have a Naval Academy degree and have navigational equipment type specific accreditation. He/She should be proficient in English, have presentation skills and be available to travel abroad.
