Signal Ocean, the analytics start-up associated with Signal Maritime, is looking for a junior, driven individual who will help us with our product and customer development efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical or engineering background, knowledge of the latest trends in Lean starting-up/Product Management, and an exercised passion in the discovery, research and delivery of delightful user experiences, preferably in the FinTech/Enterprise domain.
Responsibilities
Your job will include helping, administering and contributing to some of the following areas:
- Development and articulation of business model, product vision and strategy
- Market research and competitive analysis
- User research and UI/UX strategy
- Ideation, product discovery/planning/development
- Coordination of business analysis, design and engineering efforts, organized using Dual-track Agile methodologies; Product Ownership (as per SCRUM)
- Marketing and Customer Development
- Customer delight and support
- Product Management metrics and KPIs
- Strict adherence to Confidentiality, Intellectual Property and
- Non-Compete clauses is expected.
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Design, Computer Science or Engineering
- Experience in product management or development
- Experience and track-record in web application design and development, preferably in start-up environment
- Sufficient technology skills to understand and earn respect from engineers; sufficient design talent to understand and earn respect from designers
- Highly curious and analytical disposition; strong quantitative skills to support data-informed decision making
- Hard-working, self-starter, with strong entrepreneurial spirit
- Clear, inspiring communicator in spoken and written English
- Interest in and more than basic understanding of global financial markets and/or shipping
- Background in data analytics, advanced data visualization and geo-spatial applications are highly valued
