Responsibilities

  • Liaise daily with the competent Customs Authorities and the Customs’ Brokers to address business issues and resolve them quickly to prevent disruptions in supply chain.
  • Verify correctness of import/export documents and any other formalities to ensure compliance with Legal and Customs’ regulations.
  • Advise and assist internal customers on import and export restrictions, tariff classifications, FTA qualification, and country of origin marking requirement or any other customs-related matters, in accordance with the Customs’ regulatory framework.
  • Draft responses to queries from Customs/Tax Authorities.
  • Stay abreast of changes in import or export laws or regulations to ensure company’s compliance at all aspects (e.g. licenses, permits, authorizations for economic operators, etc.) to safeguard smooth import/export operations.
  • Prepare reports on import/export activities for central teams and local Management.
  • Perform other tasks and accountabilities implied in or related to the position purpose.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University or other equivalent Degree in Economics / Finance / Taxation.
  • The successful candidate must have 2-3 years’ experience in Finance, in an international or credible local company, and 2 years in the area of Customs/Indirect Tax.
  • Fluency in English and Greek as well as strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Experience in interacting with Public Authorities will be considered an asset.
