Company Description
Blueground is a venture capital backed technology and hospitality company that offers beautifully furnished and serviced apartments to business travelers and expats for mid to long term duration (1+ months). The company has demonstrated an exponential growth consistently over the last years in the markets that is active: Athens, Istanbul, Dubai and New York City.
We are looking to recruit a financial analyst professional to join our finance and accounting department based in our Headquarters in Athens. The role will act as financial business partner for all blueground markets, focusing on providing valid financial management information to the CFO and the Country Heads in order to facilitate decision support resulting in growth of revenues.
Responsibilities
- Work on and provide the analysis of monthly financials and performance metrics for revenue and direct costs in pursuit of improving cash flow and operations efficiency
- Prepare and report monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as requested to support the central and per country consolidation of the annual budgeting and forecast process
- Update accounts receivable/payable in the business systems and perform reconciliations according to market (under responsibility) needs
- Perform basic accounting duties (for responsible countries) i.e. daily transactions with vendors, suppliers etc, bank reconciliations, update of accounts statements
- Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects for our investors as appropriate
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a numeric discipline from a top-tier university (post graduate studies will be considered an asset)
- 2-3 years of similar experience preferably in a multinational FMCG company or in the broader financial services industry
- Advanced Excel skills and keen with financial modelling
- Fluent in English and Greek
- Strong organizational, planning, quantitative and problem solving skills; strategic and creative thinking
- Able to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
