Intrafashion, one of the most prominent companies in Apparel and Footwear Retail Sector, through its branch network Pink Woman and NJOO Athleisure stores and with constant growth of its network both in Greece and abroad, is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R (Accounts receivable) , A/P (Accounts Payable) , GL (General Ledger) and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment. Maintains master Treasury process
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company’s borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
- Maintain banking relationships
- Assist in determining the company’s proper capital structure
- Arrange for equity and debt financing
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
- Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
- Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
- Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
- Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
- Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
- Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput
- Additional controller duties as necessary
- Bank Payments and Managing relationships with financial intermediaries
- Close cooperation with third party consultant / tax support company
Requirements
- BSc/MSc degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
- Advanced IT literacy (MS Excel, Business Intelligence/Data Mining, Reporting, ERP Software)
- At least 5 years of working experience at a relative role at well-established multinational companies/Companies with subsidiaries to abroad
- Previous working experience in auditing
- Financial Controlling, Reporting & Analysis skills
- Portfolio Performance and Risk Management skills
- Accounts Payable / Receivable Processes
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
