Responsibilities
Leveraging an extensive global network, our M&A team provides sector-focused advice on the sale process from strategic positioning to close, and we help execute acquisitions, alliances and mergers. We have ambitious plans and we are seeking a high performing experienced M&A professional to join the team.
Working in a multi-national environment, the team will work on a range of transactions, from local to cross-border disposals or acquisitions. Working in this creative environment, you will be given the opportunity to work and take responsibilities on challenging projects, gaining exposure to various sectors, both within Greece and the CSE region.
As a team member, your role will include but not be limited to advising companies regarding strategic and corporate finance alternatives, including performing the following
- Monitor macro and market developments in order to identify trends and opportunities for M&A transactions
- Performing macro and industry analysis
- Performing strategic and financial business analysis
- Drafting transaction marketing materials, such as teasers, pitch books, IMs and roadshow presentations
- Developing financial models and performing business valuations
- Providing assistance to senior professionals within the team, including during the M&A process
- Attending client meetings
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- An ability to interact with teams at all hierarchical levels
- Strong attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach
- Team working and communication skills
- Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness
To qualify for the role you must have
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A or Corporate Finance acquired through work experience in an investment bank, Big4 or private equity firm
- Excellent academic background, including a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA) and / or other related field with strong quantitative focus
- Advanced MS Excel skills in developing financial models
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Word skills in developing quality presentations and reports
- Strong numerical/analytical ability and a sound grasp of financial accounting. Within this context, CFA, ACCA or other professional qualification will be considered an asset
- Experience in project finance and/or energy and infrastructure sectors will be also considered an asset
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively under pressure
- Very good written and oral skills both in Greek and English
- Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience from working in a multinational environment
- Client facing experience from a professional services background
