Description

  • Provide analytical support on key business decisions, including new business initiatives, appraisal of projects and post-implementation reviews, draw conclusions from analysis and present them
  • Support all planning budgeting and forecasting activities of the division, actively contributing to the planning process and decision making in terms of insightful analysis and key assumptions, ensuring that they are robust and justifiable
  • Proactively, along with the Manager of BI & Analytics and other Senior Managers, structure analyses from hypothesis development to modelling to support commercial decisions and to influence marketing & product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Build strong relationships with key operational contacts and provide high quality analysis that enables Operations to drive improvements. Resolve requests from business users of data for insight, reports, resolving queries and help them exploit data
  • Responsibility for delivering effective improvements in financial modelling and analytical techniques to improve reporting and analysis.
  • Supports the Head of BI & Analytics to define and deliver strategic Insight projects. Develops Junior/ Graduate Data Analyst
  • Develop periodic competitor analysis to ensure robust comparison performance on KPI trends and financial results, which should include insightful and focused commentary as well as graphical analysis, ensuring that we are informed of developments in mobile, web, tablet, technology and competition
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the division to grow and improve profitability through effective insight and analysis
  • Data mining databases of sports, specials and customer transactions
  • Formulate models that describe, diagnose, predict or prescribe data.
  • Delivering of complex analysis including segmentations, lifetime value analysis and customer profiling and behavioral models.
  • Analyze vast amounts of customer data to build models that explain lifecycle paths, churn models and sophisticated segmentation
  • Perform hands-on analysis in support of business requests, including development of conclusions and recommendations
  • Delivery of analysis projects using all types of statistical techniques & modeling tools
  • Obtain an in-depth understanding of the gaming industry, the players and the games through study of both internal and external data in order to develop robust analytics solutions (i.e.: predictive models, LTV, propensity models)
  • Develop new metrics and indicators to enhance aspects of player behavior such as customer profiling and segmentation, profitability, attrition and lifecycle analysis using insight from data mining and web analytics
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis of high quality and commercially focused

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in digital marketing, minimum 2-3 in a retention related role
  • Experience and/or interest on Sports and Casino games is an asset
  • Hold an academic degree within in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, natural sciences or operations research. Postgraduate degree in statistics/ quantitative analysis/ marketing beneficial
  • Strong SQL Server Reporting, Analysis Services, relational database knowledge, data manipulation, analytical and advanced Excel skills (VBA, Macros, V-lookups)
  • Advanced knowledge of modelling and analytical techniques.
  • Experience in dealing with large and complex data sets, data models, data mining and analytical tools such as SQL, R, SAS , or SPSS
  • Commercial awareness of all key trends and activities within the division
  • Demonstrable track record of commercial awareness. Dig through data, identify critical information, analyze, draw conclusions, make recommendations and deliver action plans
  • Results driven, able to work at fast pace and juggle multiple priorities whilst ensuring accuracy
  • Must be a proactive and personable individual who has the ability to take ownership and drive improvement
  • Proven track record of delivering quantifiable benefits to businesses
