As the worldwide leader in electronic payment services, First Data is seeking to recruit a Sr. HR Associate to join our HR Operations team in Greece to work on a multitude of tasks, support all HR activities and contribute to the company’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the end to end monthly payroll cycle, in coordination with the payroll vendors, for a number of countries within the EMEA region, to ensure compliance with relevant countries laws
  • Assists the local payroll process by ensuring accurate and in-time implementation of monthly payroll related activities (time records, absences etc.) and following up with work legislation authorities
  • Ensures new hire documentation is completed and processed in compliance with legal requirements and internal policies and coordinates the new employees’ onboarding process.
  • Maintains up to date and accurate employee records for internal and external audits, monitors HR/Payroll systems by timely entry of hire, termination and other employee related data
  • Provides customer service support to employees’ queries regarding HR issues, by effectively communicating the company’s HR policies, practices, benefits and regulations
  • Administers company training programmes, liaising with training vendors and oversees the governmental subsidized procedure (LAEK)
  • Collects and analyzes HR data, produces HR metrics and provides respective regular and ad hoc reports and HR analytics to company’s management
  • Assists in the design and implementation of various local and regional HR Projects and HR initiatives related to process improvement, simplification and ongoing automation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • University Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related studies
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a well-established HR department, preferably in a multinational company
  • Hands on experience with the full cycle of the payroll process and sound knowledge of labor laws. Previous payroll experience across different countries will be considered a strong asset
  • Extensive experience in HR/payroll related systems, ideally Scan HRMS
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English language –written and verbal
  • Excellent PC command (MS-Office)
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of organization
  • Able to organize and prioritize the workload and manage multiple tasks / deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and level of service
  • Must be proactive in driving efficiencies and producing new ideas to improve the current processes
