The Senior Project Manager collaborates closely with the business and IT Divisions, manages the implementation of strategic projects, while focusing on the improvement of the Bank’s profitability, and enhances product offerings and customer experience.
The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, highly-skilled Project Manager, able to perform in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and delivering high-quality projects within the relevant scope, on time and on budget. The job holder will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the financial services’ sector, to participate in complex transformational projects as well as to interact with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the definition of the project’s scope, involving all relevant departments, and works closely with the IT teams, so as to ensure technical feasibility and resources’ availability
- Develops and retains detailed project plans while adhering to the organisation’s project methodology and overall regulatory environment
- Achieves project milestones by organising regular cross-functional project meetings so as to review schedule, status and upcoming issues
- Continuously ensures that projects meet budget requirements
- Facilitates the resolution of issues and escalates them appropriately to the project stakeholders and relevant committees, as required
- Ensures that all departments involved in a project operate as an integrated team while managing internal client relationships and expectations
- Drafts and retains comprehensive project documentation
- Prepares and effectively communicates appropriate reports and updates to the Management
Manages external partners when necessary
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Science or any other related discipline
- Experience in the banking and/or financial services industry
- A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in project management
- PMP/PRINCE2 certification will be considered a plus
- Excellent knowledge of project management tools (MS Project)
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken)
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills along with a goal-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills
