First Data is currently looking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our Sourcing team in Greece as Strategic Sourcing Assistant, to work on a multitude of tasks supporting our core business and become part of our success story. He/she will be the liaison point for internal stakeholders, supporting from time-to-time the geographically dispersed category teams in the EMEA / APAC region.
Responsibilities
The successful jobholder will:
- Generate management reporting and perform data consolidation to support sourcing initiatives, data availability and market knowledge for the Sourcing team in Greece and upon request across EMEA & APAC region to ensure process consistency and data quality
- Manage incoming flow of Purchase Requests through Company’s ERP system to maintain smooth operation
- Support internal business stakeholders to master procurement tools
- Act and drive stand-alone on various EMEA / APAC Sourcing Activities and liaise with Category Leaders whenever required
- Conduct market analysis to understand market conditions and opportunities in order to leverage across all purchasing categories, briefing Strategic Sourcing Manager and Category leaders on the options and supporting to deliver the benefits
- Contract management handling
- Work, communicate and share with GSS team, follow objectives, support sourcing operations and vendor management and ensure these are met or exceeded through teamwork
Organize competitive bids on purchase requests, negotiate price, terms and conditions to minimize business risk and maximize the commercial benefit through defined processes/tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent with 1 to 2 years of experience in corporate Procurement / Sourcing team ideally in a finance or service related organization
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills and English proficiency level
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Power point
- Strong experience in Procurement operations and Supply chain management processes
- Excellent team player with experience preferably from international corporation
- Experienced in buying and negotiating across general purchasing commodities
- Goal oriented and highly self-motivated
- Self-confidence, Self-controlled and assertive
