The role of the Traffic Compliance Analyst within UPSTREAM SA is to maintain the high quality of traffic Upstream receives in Digital Advertising from their partners and further improve it by monitoring campaigns and ensuring that our advertisers and traffic sources meet Upstream’s strict security standards.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor campaigns to identify, investigate, and communicate security issues and develop corrective action plans
- Proactively research emerging fraudulent behavior in ad-tech and develop Upstream’s solution by overseeing the implementation of safety measures across Upstream web campaigns
- Investigate and come up with suggestions for external tools that can provide a full solution to web fraud issues
- Investigate and derive improvements for existing fraud detection methodologies and internal processes
- Utilize tools including but not limited to: MongoDB, Python, SQL, Unix, Tableau, (Classification and Clustering algorithms) to dig into raw data and identify fraudulent practices
- Develop abuse identification patterns and algorithms
- Identify fraud trends and translate those into proactive and independent advice towards business owners
- Investigate and analyze fraud Incidents, communicate on the progress and results of the investigation to management and other stakeholders
- Prepare Upstream’s Ad Fraud Policy handbook
- Evaluate and put in place measures and tools to detect and prevent fraud
- Validate and defend findings along with other departments
- Nurture a cooperative relationship with other departments within the company
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 3 years of work experience in an online advertising fraud detection company or in an advertising company that has dealt with fraud incident while running their campaigns
- Deep understanding of the Digital Ecosystem
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; a self-starter
- Highly analytical mindset; data driven
- Strong statistical skills
- Knowledge of SQL, PHP, Python
- Experience with Business Intelligence software
- Experience with Digital advertising and affiliate marketing networks is a big plus
- Experience with Apache Web Server is a plus
- Strong Excel and presentation skills
